Data collected

• Account data: email address and password. Your password is stored in hashed form by our authentication provider.
• Your documents: the PDFs you upload and the text extracted from them, page by page.
• Your writing: the sentence you are writing when you ask for a suggestion, and the suggestions shown to you.
• Subscription and usage data: plan, billing status, tryout use and suggestion counts.
• Technical data: your IP address, used to limit tryouts and prevent abuse.

Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe only. Inkwise does not see or store them.

Purposes

We use this data to provide the writing assistant, manage accounts and subscriptions, process payments, prevent abuse and answer support requests.

How your documents are used

To suggest a line and check it, we send passages from your PDFs and the sentence you are writing to Anthropic, our AI model provider. Anthropic generates the suggestion. A second check confirms that the cited passage supports it before it reaches your screen.

We do not use your documents or your writing to train any AI model.

Legal basis

Performance of the contract (providing the service you signed up for), and your consent where the law requires it.

Sub-processors and transfers outside the EU

We share data only with the providers the service needs:

• Anthropic: generating and checking suggestions from your PDFs and your sentence.
• Supabase: authentication, database and storage of your PDFs.
• Vercel: hosting the site.
• Stripe: payments and billing.

Some of these providers are located outside the European Union. Their data transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards.

Retention period

• PDFs without an active subscription: deleted after 24 hours, at our next daily cleanup, together with the text extracted from them.
• PDFs with an active subscription: kept until you remove them or delete the project.
• Account and subscription data: kept for the duration of the commercial relationship, then possibly up to 3 years.
• Deleting your account deletes your data, except what we must keep by law (for example billing records).

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability of your data. To exercise your rights, email support@inkwise.pro.

Cookies

This site uses technical cookies required for sign-in and security. To prevent fraud, one of them limits the free tryout to one per browser: it holds a random identifier (not a fingerprint of your device), cannot be read by scripts on the page and expires after 1 year. No advertising cookies are used. You can set your browser to refuse non-essential cookies.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or disclosure. Only your account can open the projects and PDFs you upload.
